Columbia Care OH LLC operates a 56,000-square-foot Level I cannabis cultivation facility in Mount Orab, Ohio, which opened in 2019 and was one of only nine Ohio Level I cultivators to hold a Department of Commerce Certificate of Operation at the time. The facility uses cloning methodologies and automated environmental and fertigation systems. Columbia Care selected the Brown County site for its labor market and proximity to underserved southern Ohio, and completed acquisition of Ohio dispensary operator CannAscend in 2021. Columbia Care's parent company later rebranded nationally as The Cannabist Company.
